Job Title: General Manager (Full-Time)


About Climb Cincy:
Climb Cincy is a community-focused bouldering gym built by climbers, for climbers. We’re dedicated to making climbing accessible, fun, and inclusive while maintaining the highest standards of safety, customer service, and community engagement. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and driven General Manager to lead our team and help elevate the experience for our members and guests.

Position Overview:

The General Manager (GM) will oversee the daily operations of Climb Cincy and be responsible for leading the gym’s staff, optimizing performance, enhancing member experiences, and cultivating a strong climbing community. This role requires a mix of leadership, operational oversight, customer service, and passion for climbing culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, and supervise gym staff, including front desk, coaching, and maintenance teams

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment

  • Lead regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and feedback

Operations & Facility Oversight:

  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient gym environment

  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management

  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and risk management protocols

Customer Experience & Community Building:

  • Maintain high levels of customer service and respond to member feedback

  • Develop and support events, workshops, and competitions

  • Strengthen community engagement through partnerships and outreach

Sales & Membership:

  • Drive membership growth and retention

  • Monitor and report key performance metrics

  • Collaborate on marketing and promotional strategies

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to long-term planning and vision for Climb Cincy’s growth

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the gym

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role (climbing industry preferred but not required)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Passion for climbing and a commitment to growing the climbing community

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed

  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
